Mt Ruapehu Snow Card fees are now non-refundable, as per a change to our Terms and Conditions effective from Friday February 8th 2019.
The $5 fee applicable to your Snow Card helps to cover the cost of these RFID cards, associated printers, system licence fees and the ongoing replacement of Axess gates and other hardware. This allows us to keep improving your experience at our ski areas with new initiatives, e.g. the introduction of Click & Collect terminals in 2019. It also encourages our guests to keep the same card instead of frequently returning their card for a refund and purchasing a new one on their next visit, which reduces our shared environmental impact.
Any pass holders who will be unable to return to our ski areas to reuse their card in the future, or who have purchased a replacement and since found their original card, can drop their cards at one of the donation boxes available at our ski areas or ticket offices, to support causes within our local communities.
We acknowledge that some customers may have more than one card in their possession from before this change was made, and therefore we are happy to offer $5 credit in the form of Ruapehu Activity dollars in exchange for any duplicate cards that were purchased between January 1st 2018 and February 8th 2019. Ruapehu Activity dollars can be used at any of Mt Ruapehu's Customer Relations, Food & Beverage and Retail outlets and are valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
If you'd like to redeem a card purchased during the above time frame for Ruapehu Activity dollars, please contact our Customer Relations team on site or by submitting a request via our Help Centre <<here>>. This must be done prior to the scheduled 2019 season end date, i.e. October 28th 2019. No credit will be issued for these cards after this date.
